Sunday Services
We desire our Sunday Worship Services to be INTENTIONAL! We begin Sun am at 10:30 with a time of prayer that sets the tone for the worship service. There is a short interlude with music, and the service begins in earnes at 10:45. The service features congregational singing from our hymnals, the giving of tithes and offerings, a prayer time for the needs of the congregation, usually there is special music and then the pastor preaches.
Sunday evenings are similar, except the opening prayer is not as extended. Also, there is more time for personal testimonies from the congregation. These are often a source of encouragement and blessing to everyone. Finally, these services can often be focused more on challenging the believer, rather than reaching the lost
Midweek Services
Our Wednesday Prayer and Praise Service begins at 6:30 PM. Often the first half hour is focused on singing choruses and giving personal testimonies about how God is working in the lives of the individuals present.
Then, we move on to an extended prayer focus on the needs of the congregation, as well as their families and friends, and even considered our nation and world. This may be physical or spiritual, but is always practical.
Finally, the pastor shares from God's Word in closing in more of a devotional manner. This is intentionally more brief to be mindful of our people's time on a weeknight
Adult Bible Study/Children & Youth Ministry
Sunday evenings at 5 pm is the time that we have what some churches would call their Sunday School. The adults meet in the sanctuary of the church for a Bible study that systematically goes through various topics each quarter.
In another building we have an active children's ministry where boys and girls up to 12 have fun singing songs, learning scripture verses and building character through stories. We run a church bus and will bring in anyone who needs a ride.
We also have an active youth group for our teens. Activies vary based on the interests of the current group of youth, but along with biblical instruction, we are always working to include missional opportunities for our youth. Of course, we love to just have fun as well!
